Located in Washington, D.C., this sacred space invites you to explore its stunning gardens, adorned with replicas of Holy Land shrines, providing a tranquil and reflective atmosphere. Stroll through the peaceful cloisters and marvel at the beautiful architecture of the church. Discover the monastery’s rich history, its connection to the Holy Land, and the spiritual significance embedded in every corner. Whether you’re seeking a moment of contemplation or a deeper understanding of religious heritage, the Franciscan Monastery promises a unique and enlightening experience. Please note that the replica of the catacombs in the lower church is only accessible via a steep marble staircase. If you have any mobility challenges, you may find the staircase difficult.
